Residents who pay taxes to the Bunker Hill Public Library District are eligible to receive a Library Card for no out-of-pocket cost. All that is needed is a current license or identification card and an additional proof of residency (i.e. utility bill, voter registration card, bank statement, etc.).

Non-residents are also eligible for a Library Card for a minimal fee of $40 per year per family. The same proofs of residency are required to receive a non-resident card.

The Bunker Hill Public Library District is a part of the Illinois Heartland Library System which allows us to borrow items from neighboring libraries to help expand your options.

We offer in-person programming and one-on-one training by appointment for various topics.

We offer free Wi-Fi, and have three study stations for students or anyone who wishes to bring their own laptop or tablet to work at the library. We also have 6 public computers available for anyone to use with printing capabilities for a small fee.

We offer printing, copying, faxing and scanning services for a minimal fee to anyone who needs it.

Our children's area features brand new children's bench seating, two new Lego tables, chalk board areas, and new STEM activities. We have a seating area for the adults while the kids play and read.

Of course, we have a wide selection of children's books. Anything from board books, fiction picture books, non-fiction books, chapter books, entire book series, and early reader kits, we have it for you.

If you don't find what you're looking for, we can surely order it for you from a neighboring library!

We have three new study stations in our teen area that are made for bringing your own device to study or work on a project for school or work. Each station is equipped with a comfy chair, plenty of desk space, a lamp to see better, and charging stations to keep all your devices charged up. With a nice view out the front windows, you are sure to get all your assignments completed here!

We also have a young adult book section located at the front of the library. If you can't find what you're looking for, just let us know!

We have 6 computers located at the back of the library for public use. Anyone is welcome to use these computers any time the library is open.

We have a collection of Large Print books, suspense, mystery and horror books, romance and drama books, Christian Fiction books, and a large non-fiction collection as well.

We also have a Genealogy room that is filled with local history for patrons to browse.

We have a large collection of movies, TV series, holiday films, and audiobooks available for patrons to check out.

If you can't find what you're looking for, we can order it!
